Abstract

The objective of this research examining  stability and flow value was to investigate the impact of the utility of iron fillings waste as a subtitute material for the number of suprisingly small aggregates in the mixture of asphalt. In this research, the portion of iron filings waste which given were 5 %, 10 % and 15 % of the heavy mixture smooth aggregates. The stability quantitative value was 2093 kg in 15 % iron filings contents. The higest flow quantitative value was 3,5  mm in 5 % iron filings contents. The result of characteristic validation Marshall on the number of subtituted smooth aggregates which used iron filings gave a standard coefficient specification BM.2005. So based on that, the iron fillings waste technically could be received as a subtitute material for the mixture of suprisingly small aggregates.

Abstract

Lebong Regency is an earthquake-prone area in Bengkulu Province. This is because Lebong Regency is located adjacent to the Bukit Barisan Mountains which are included in the earthquake-prone zone and in the line of active faults. This research was conducted at Mr. Sonid’s vernacular house in Gunung Alam Village, Pelabai District, Lebong Regency to determine the behavior and the resistance of its structure.The behavior and resilience of the vernacular house structure against earthquakes is analyzed based on SNI 1726:2019. The analysis was carried out using SAP 2000 software to obtain the actual internal forces in the form of bending moment (M), shear force (V), and compressive force (P).The capacity of the wood structure was analyzed using the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method which refers to SNI 7973:2013 to obtain adjusted moment capacity values (M'), adjusted compression capacity (P'), and adjusted shear capacity (V').The results of structural analysis of earthquakes produce the same actual internal forces in medium and soft soil conditions so that all structural elements of the vernacular house have the same structural behavior.Analysis of the capacity of the wooden structure results the adjusted internal forces of some structural elements which are smaller than the actual internal forces, so that the vernacular house structure is unable to withstand the forces that occur. However, based on the earthquake and its impact until this research was conducted, the condition of the vernacular house still stands strong without any damage to its structural elements.

Abstract

  This study intends to analyze the dimensions of the channel, subdivision, and tapping infrastructure. The mainstay discharge was analyzed using the Mock method, the analysis of irrigation water needs was based on Irrigation Planning Standard KP-01, and recalculation of the dimensions of the channel, building for, and tapping building based on the existing discharge and the planned discharge in accordance with Irrigation Planning Standard KP- 03. Rainfall data were analyzed using the algebraic average method. The findings indicated that the highest primary discharge, which occurred in November period I, was 9.21 m3/s. The highest amount of clean water needed in the fields per day (NFR) was 7.55 mm, while the maximum amount of water needed for intake per second (DR) was 1.34 l/sec. The bottom width of the channel (b) is 2.26 m according to the findings of recalculating the BNa 1 primary channel's dimensions using the current discharge. Na.2Ki.A secondary channel measured 0.48 meters for channel bottom width (b). The bottom width of the channel (b) was determined to be 0.601 m as a consequence of recalculating the BNa 1 primary channel's dimensions using the intended discharge. Na.2Ki.A secondary channel measured 0.44 meters for channel bottom width (b). The measurements of the width of the buildings door (b) after being recalculated and tapped based on the current discharge are larger than those of the door's existing dimensions.
